What is better: a pricelist or spot quotations?
Companies adopt different systems for managing transport providers and routes assignment.
The methods can be divided into two groups:
1. spot: a specific tender is organized for each shipment;
2. agreed price lists: price lists are negotiated periodically with one or more suppliers. When the need for a shipment arises, it is assigned to the preselected supplier.
Both types of management show advantages and disadvantages.
