On the opposite, delegating the drafting to a consultant without the active participation of the different business functions, may lead to a document conceptually unobjectionable, but less precise on the business reality.<\/p>\n<p>\n\t&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>\n\tOn the operative level, the work arrangements for the different technical and managerial activities that influence the logistics are indicated within a set of procedures, coherent with the manual criteria and the overall business strategy.<\/p>\n<p>\n\t&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>\n\tFor the various working processes, the procedures shall indicate:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>\n\t\tThe objective of the procedure,<\/li>\n<li>\n\t\tThe description of the process of the work considered,<\/li>\n<li>\n\t\tThe techniques to execute the different activities,<\/li>\n<li>\n\t\tThe investigations and controls performed,<\/li>\n<li>\n\t\tThe development of documents and their management,<\/li>\n<li>\n\t\tCompetences and responsibilities of each activity.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>\n\t&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>\n\tAssembling all of it in a single document implies an analysis of the processes themselves, and as a consequence it leads to their rationalization: this task shall not be done without the direct participation of the interested business functions, on both levels of drafting and double-checking.<\/p>\n<p>\n\t&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>\n\t<strong>What are the advantages resulting from the application of the logistic manual?<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>\n\t&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>\n\tWe can determine &ldquo;internal&rdquo; and &ldquo;external&rdquo; benefits.<\/p>\n<p>\n\tSome examples of <strong>internal benefits<\/strong>:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>\n\t\tIt is an occasion to execute an organizational &ldquo;check-up&rdquo;,<\/li>\n<li>\n\t\tThe responsibilities are settled, the &ldquo;who does what&rdquo; based on the business&rsquo; characteristics,<\/li>\n<li>\n\t\tThere is the possibility of continuous reviews and implementations of the procedures, because the logistic manual shall always be enforceable and workable (it is a dynamic document),<\/li>\n<li>\n\t\tThere are involved operators of different functions: logistics, purchasing, production, commercial, finance and control.
